Welcome to HomeBlock. HomeBlock is an iOS app for organizing homes, rooms, furniture, storage boxes, and household items. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of HomeBlock. By downloading, accessing, or using HomeBlock, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use HomeBlock.
HomeBlock may be used by people of all ages, including minors, when allowed by applicable law and these Terms. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms and supervise your use of HomeBlock. If you are a parent or legal guardian allowing a minor to use HomeBlock, you are responsible for that minor's use of the app and for any data, purchases, or content entered through the app.
If a user is under 13 years old, HomeBlock may be used only with verifiable consent and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. HomeBlock is designed so that ordinary app use does not require creating an account or submitting personal information to us. User-entered home, room, item, photo, and reminder data is intended to remain on the user's device unless the user chooses an export, backup, support, or sharing action. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without the required parental consent, we will delete it or take other steps required by law.
If you download HomeBlock from the Apple App Store, your download, license, purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and use on Apple-branded devices are also subject to Apple's applicable terms, including the Apple Standard EULA and Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. If these Terms conflict with non-waivable Apple platform rules for App Store transactions or device licensing, the Apple terms control for those matters.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use HomeBlock on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by Apple usage rules. HomeBlock is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.
You may use HomeBlock for personal, family, household, and similar organizational purposes. You may not use HomeBlock for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, or rights-infringing purposes. You may not interfere with the app, bypass subscription or security controls, reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it, redistribute the app, or use the app to store or manage illegal, dangerous, or inappropriate content.
HomeBlock lets users enter information such as room names, furniture, item names, quantities, values, expiration dates, notes, tags, and photos. You are responsible for the content you enter and for making sure you have the right to enter or store it. Do not enter another person's private information, images, or sensitive details unless you have permission or another lawful basis to do so.
HomeBlock currently stores app data locally on the user's device unless the app clearly offers and the user chooses an export, backup, support, sharing, or similar action. We do not promise cloud sync, remote backup, or data recovery unless a specific feature says otherwise. Device loss, app deletion, system failure, user error, or data clearing may permanently remove data. You should back up important information using available app or device backup tools.
Parents and legal guardians should decide whether HomeBlock is appropriate for a minor and should supervise the minor's use of the app. Minors should not enter addresses, exact locations, photos of people, contact details, school information, passwords, financial account information, or other sensitive personal information into HomeBlock unless a parent or legal guardian approves.
If a child contacts us for support and provides contact information, we may use that information only as allowed by law, such as to respond to the specific request, and we will not use it for marketing. Parents may contact us at the email below to ask questions about a child's use of HomeBlock or to request deletion of any personal information that may have been provided to us.
HomeBlock may offer a HomeBlock Pro subscription. Subscription benefits may include full editing, dashboards, reminders, and future Pro features. The exact features, price, billing period, free trial, promotional terms, availability, and taxes are shown in the app purchase flow and on the App Store and may vary by country or region.
HomeBlock Pro is configured as an auto-renewable monthly subscription and may include a free trial. Unless you cancel before the end of the trial or current billing period as required by Apple, the subscription may automatically renew and your Apple account may be charged. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account or the App Store subscription settings.
Purchases, renewals, cancellations, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple. Refund eligibility and timing are governed by Apple policies and applicable law. We do not directly control Apple's billing, refund, or subscription management systems.
HomeBlock's expiration reminders, warranty reminders, value summaries, quantity summaries, and storage location information are provided for ordinary household organization only. They are not professional, legal, financial, medical, safety, insurance, or inventory-control advice. You are responsible for checking important items, deadlines, values, quantities, and physical locations yourself.
HomeBlock, including its software, design, features, text, graphics, code, and other app content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you enter into HomeBlock, subject to the rights you grant by choosing any export, backup, support, or sharing feature.
HomeBlock may rely on Apple services, StoreKit, notifications, system permissions, operating-system features, or other third-party services. Those services are provided by their respective providers and may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service availability, accuracy, changes, outages, or failures.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of HomeBlock for maintenance, security, legal, business, or product reasons. We may also add, remove, or change features, including Pro features, as long as we do so in a manner consistent with applicable law and App Store requirements.
You may stop using HomeBlock at any time. We may limit or terminate your right to use HomeBlock if you violate these Terms or if required for legal, security, or platform reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law, will survive.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HomeBlock is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that HomeBlock will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or suitable for your particular needs. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties, so some limitations may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, lost items, incorrect estimates, missed reminders, business interruption, lost profits, or similar losses arising from or related to your use of or inability to use HomeBlock. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of HomeBlock, your violation of these Terms, or content you enter into the app. If you are a minor, this section applies to your parent or legal guardian to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except to the extent another law is required by applicable consumer protection law. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable rights you may have under the laws of your state or country of residence.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of HomeBlock after the updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.
